2012 May 22 Annual Meeting of the Parish Council and Public Particpation

REPORT OF THE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT THE MEETING HELD ON 22 MAY 2012 IN THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HALL

PCSO COLLYER:

 PCSO Collyer had to report 1 crime; assault with injury and 3 calls were made to the Police: 1 Grade A: domestic and 2 Grade D: criminal damage/highway disruption.

She also informed all present that speeding in Worstead has become a priority and speed checks will be carried by themselves and Traffic Police out over next 7 weeks on School Road and Westwick Road (20m. zone).

HANDYMAN AND COMMUNITY PAYBACK:

Community Payback have painted all the woodwork around the Hall to a very satisfactory level, they are presently tidying up around the Playing Field and car park.

Soil for the slide has arrived, the lorry sadly leaving ruts in the Playing Field.

DISTRICT /COUNTY COUNCILLOR:

County Cllr. Clarke: by late email: nothing to report, apart from consultation on speed restrictions on A149 near Dilham and Bengate.

 District Cllr. Williams: not well in the weekend.

MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF WORSTEAD PARISH HELD ON 22 MAY 2012 IN THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HALL

 PRESENT: Cllrs. S. Cole, S. Henderson, S. Harris, C. Rance, K. O’Hara, J. Bacon

 APOLOGIES: Cllrs. R. Barrett (holiday), D. Howes, G. Paterson (prior commitments)

 ALSO PRESENT: 1 Member of the Public, PCSO Collyer.                           Clerk: Mrs. J. Gardner

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN: Chairman Cole stood down as Chairman, the chair was taken by Cllr. Henderson. Cllrs. Harris and Bacon proposed for Cllr. Cole to be chairman for another year. All agreed.

Resolution: Cllr. S. Cole was elected as Chairman and will sign the Declaration of Acceptance of Office of Chairman later. 

ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN: Cllr. Barrett had said he happy to stand again as Vice Chairman.

Resolution: Cllr. R. Barrett was elected as Vice Chairman.

ELECTION OF SUBCOMMITTEES:This had to be postponed, because not all Cllrs. were present.
